Alicia comes to Eastern Counseling & Wellness with a wide range of experiences in the field of mental health. She received her BA in Social Work at Providence College and her Masters of Social Work (MSW) at Salem State University. She has been in the practice for over twenty-five years, working with both children and adults.
Alicia has extensive training and experience in crisis management and stabilization. Recently trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), she is excited to build her practice in this area.
Her strengths-based, person-centered approach offers a non-judgmental space to explore suffering and works towards healing. Consistent with the Eastern Counseling values, Alicia believes in treating the whole person: mind, body, and soul.
In session with Alicia, you will get to experience her nurturing presence with a focus on reality-based themes as you take practical steps towards accomplishing your goals.
Together, you may practice mindfulness exercises and guided imagery as Alicia holds a warm, affirming, and open-minded space.
Aside from her passion about helping others achieve the best version of themselves, Alicia loves travel, swimming, gardening, walking her dogs at the beach, and spending time with her family.
Fun fact! Alicia and Kaitlin met over a decade ago while supporting youth and families in crisis. Their careers parted ways for a few years and they are so excited to work together as a team again in this new setting.
